Favourites are just like series recordings, except they don't record and therefore stop your hard drive filling up unnecessarily. This is handy for keeping an eye out for all your favourite shows, where you might not want to record every episode.

This is handy for keeping an eye on, and alerting you to, programs with specific actors or that match your registered ‘keywords’ and topics of interest.
