Personal Video Recorders (PVRs)
A PVR is a set top box with a built-in hard drive. Most PVRs on the market have two digital TV tuners built in, allowing you to watch one channel while recording another. Because all your recordings are stored on the hard drive, you can record two channels at the same time while watching a TV show you've previously recorded. You can also pause and rewind live TV and even set your favourite TV series to record automatically depending on the PVR.

Media center PCs
A Media Centre is a PC designed specifically for use in a lounge room environment. Its sleek interface allows you to enjoy your photos, music, videos, DVDs and TV recordings all from the one menu with the included remote control. With a wireless keyboard and mouse, you'll also be able to use a Media Centre for normal computer tasks such as checking your email or working on documents.

Mac TV tuners
By connecting a TV tuner stick to your Mac, you'll open yourself up to a whole new way of watching TV. Using your Apple remote or the remote included with your tuner, you'll be able to watch, record and enjoy television on your Mac. Schedule your favourite shows to record using the TV guide built into the EyeTV software or schedule from work or while on the move using IceTV Interactive.
Most tuners come with Elgato's EyeTV 3 software. A great feature of EyeTV 3 is its ability to export your recordings to your iPod, iPhone or AppleTV in one easy step. So now you can watch all your favourite shows anytime, anywhere.
